My New Works on Metal......

Art has always been a part of my life. There is no separating it from me or me from it. It's one of those things that.....just is....

I've discovered something (new to me). Painting on Metal.
This idea inadvertently started after a lengthy span (artist block) filled with multiplying the Earth and Creation (having children). One day, while standing in the art studio, I longed to be creative again. Looking around the studio amongst the vast array of supplies, I wanted to create something new, something innovative, something me! My eyes zoomed to some scrap sheet metal, nestled comfortably behind the heavy work table that housed the miter saw. With all the strength in me, I released the metal sheet from the grasps of nowhere, determined to make it submit to be: that creative something that I didn't have in mind.....yet.

To make a long story, shorter. I evolved the scrap metal into 20 3x3 small pieces. I cut, I primed, I drew, I scraped, I painted, and I leafed.
From the motion of all of these verbs birth: "ENCHANTMENT", a delightful, magical, wonderful exodus back into the world of creativity!

These pieces represent the charm and whimsical side of me, the determination to experience self-expression, femininity, and happiness in 20 enchanted ways.
